iPad power issues
We have many iPads installed in user homes and for some of them we have been experiencing a strange behavior. The iPad screen will go dark and the device will be unresponsive. On our end the device is reporting that it is at 1% battery life but when we service it, all we have to do is unplug the power adapter and then plug it back in and the device will “wake-up” and show 100% battery life.
Here are some additional details on the devices
- Devices are running iPadOS 15 or above.
- Devices are 8th, 9th Gen
- The device is running an app that is always up.
- The device is managed
- Screen set to 60% brightness
- All physical buttons are disabled
- Using OEM cord and power adapter
Any ideas on what could be causing this?
