How to turn off (for good) Optimized Battery Charging on AirPods Pro

Can't keep optimized battery charging to stay off.

I've turned it off in bluetooth settings of every device that uses the AirPods.

Yet even though every device shows that optimized battery charging is off, when I try to charge my AirPods, it peforms optimized battery charging.

What am I doing wrong?

Hello CW5_ZKiller,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Sounds like you're unable to disable Optimized Battery Charging for your AirPods. If so, we'd like to help out. It also appears that you were following these steps here: Charge your AirPods and learn about battery life - Apple Support

To turn off the feature, open the AirPods case, then go to Settings > Bluetooth on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Tap the More Info button  next to your AirPods Pro or AirPods (3rd generation) in the list of devices. Turn off Optimized Battery Charging.

If these steps don't help out, try resetting your AirPods. This step usually helps refresh things. Just in case, this resource can guide you through that task: How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro - Apple Support

1.) Put your AirPods in their charging case, and close the lid.
2.) Wait 30 seconds.
3.) Open the lid of your charging case, and put your AirPods in your ears.
4.) Go to Settings > Bluetooth. Or go to Settings > [your AirPods].
-If your AirPods appear there as connected, tap the More Info button  next to your AirPods, tap Forget This Device, then tap again to confirm.
-If your AirPods don't appear there, continue to the next step.
5.) Put your AirPods in their charging case, and keep the lid open.
6.) Press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for about 15 seconds, until the status light on the front of the case flashes amber, then white.
7.) Reconnect your AirPods: With your AirPods in their charging case and the lid open, place your AirPods close to your iPhone or iPad. Follow the steps on your device's screen.

We hope these steps are helpful. Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
