Monitoring netball

I play netball and would like to know my heartbeat calories etc while playing, however when playing you can’t have anything on your wrists so wearing the watch on my wrist is impossible. Does anyone know if the watch can be worn elsewhere, eg ankle to get the same kind of results. I was debating getting a chest heart rate monitor to connect to my phone and/or watch but when I’m playing my phone and watch are either in my car or in my coat pocket away from the court so I’m not sure whether a chest strap could connect to my watch or phone from a far distance. Does anyone have any advice or alternatives?

Hi tillie145,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.

We understand wanting to know the calories, etc. from working out. Apple Watch was designed to be worn on your wrist and no other places on your body.
