We're happy to provide some steps that will help us isolate the cause of the performance issues you're seeing.

1. We'll want to start with seeing if your Mac is using memory efficiently by using the Activity Monitor app. Check if your Mac needs more RAM in Activity Monitor "If memory pressure is yellow, red, or has spikes, check to see if an app is using up memory and causing the memory pressure to increase. If you no longer need to have the app running, you should quit the app."
2. If you're not seeing any issues with memory pressure, testing to see if the same issue occurs in a different user will let us know whether this is a system-wide issue, or if it's isolated to your user. Change Users & Groups settings on Mac will walk you thorough creating a new user.
