Quicktime Movie will not play .MOV files
When did Quicktime stop playing standard movie files? This movie was created on my iPhone 13 !

I believe that only .MOV files encoded with MPEG-4 or H.264 video and AAC audio are fully supported by QuickTime Player now. Considering the age of the file, it may be using older/outdated codecs that are no longer supported by Quicktime.
If you're able to open the file in QuickTime (even without playing), check the format via: "QuickTime -> Window -> Show Movie Inspector." This may provide additional clues as to why it's not playing.
In the event it is a codec issue, you can use HandBrake to convert the .mov file to mp4. If all else fails, you can always play the video using VLC.
