Big Sur 11.7.3

Just after updating Mac OS Big Sur 11.7.3. My safari favourite are not shown with their usual icons and are difficult to be read. Quite an issue being marked by a small font.

Safari Homepage Favorite Icons are Gray or missing I received the latest software update for Mac OS Big Sur Version 11.7.3. Now the icons on my homepage for favorites are gray and some are even blank or missing. How might I fix this? Screenshot shows my dilemma.

Safari 16.3.1 On Big Sur, latest version of Safari is Version 16.3.1 (16614.4.6.11.7, 16614), and website icons in Favorites page are fixed. However, in Monterey, latest version appears to be 16.3 with icons in Favorites page still blank. Is it an issue with Software Update, or is it really not fixed yet? Thanks.

Safari won't open after Big Sur update I spent 2.5 hrs online chatting to apple support today trying to resolve this issue. Basically on my late 2014 Retina 5K imac since installing Mac OS Big Sur 11.7.10 Safari will no longer open. It doesn't work in safe mode with all other devices removed. A lot of the suggestions online involve checking Safari settings but I can't do this as it won't open at all. In finder it shows as being last opened every time I try but Force Quit never shows it as open. The suggestion was to take it into an apple store but this isn't possible for quite some time for me and it seems as if there should be some way to resolve the issue without that. I thought I'd try to get another browser from the App store but don't see any when I search. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Hi Diapason777,

The icons you describe sound like favicons, which come from the sites you visit and are stored in Safari. Generally after you visit a page for the first time or for the first time after Safari data is cleared, these will be redownloaded and appear in the future.

If that is not the behavior that you're experiencing, reach out to Apple Support directly to investigate further.
