Apple 27 inch Thunderbolt Display on new MacBook Pro Max Issues

I recently purchased a MacBook Pro Max. I had an older 27 in Apple Thunderbolt Monitor and got an adapter to use along with an LG 32 in 4K monitor via HDMI.

When I use my laptop with The XeBec travel monitors or just with the LG, my system works great. But it seems that when I connect the apple monitor in while using adobe Premiere everything slows way down. Anyone else experiencing this issue? Any fixes? Is this monitor just too old for the new computer?

I have the same problem.

It started with Apple's Thunderbolt Display and MacBook Pro (14-inch, 2021).

My bet is that adapter (Thunderbolt->USB-C; original from Apple) cannot handle this display properly.

Refresh rate goes up when I disconnect it and connect the adapter, enable/disable ethernet etc. But after few minutes problem comes back.
