When I use slide typing, which I do almost exclusively, the Apple keyboard selects “and’s” instead of “and” every time. I fixed the previous “and” bug and now I can’t abbreviate abdominal muscles, but this one won’t go away. I tried creating a text expansion shortcut to replace “and’s” with “and” but no luck. Any suggestions?

What we can try is reset your Keyboard Dictionary:
Reset your personal dictionary
1. Go to Settings> General > Reset.
2. Tap Reset Keyboard Dictionary.
3. All custom words and shortcuts are deleted, and the keyboard dictionary returns to its default state.

As mentioned in the previous response, "There isn’t a specific time give for it to learn the change."
However, if text replacement is not working as expected, please check if your device is up to date.
If you haven't, please update your device.
While it isn't inherently assured that an update will resolve the issue, updating to the latest software version for your device can help isolate potential software issues.

It appears that the words/letters you are having issues with using Slide to Type are adjacent. A couple of things to pay particular attention to is that you are sliding over and hitting the correct letters. Also, since Slide to Type uses the same predictive technology, it can take a bit of time to "learn" from you correcting the incorrect word selection. When you reset the keyboard dictionary, it has to relearn these corrections.

There isn’t a specific time give for it to learn the change. If you haven’t already, set up a text replacement to replace the incorrect word with the right one using the steps here and see if this helps:
"With text replacement, you can use shortcuts to replace longer phrases. When you enter the shortcut in a text field, the phrase automatically replaces it. For example, you could type "GM" and "Good morning" would automatically replace it.
To manage text replacement, tap Settings > General > Keyboard > Text Replacement.
To add a text replacement:
•Tap the Add button.
•Enter your phrase and shortcut.
•Tap Save."

That seemed to work at first, but then it stopped. And becomes and’s almost every time now. This is super annoying.
Any idea how long it takes to relearn? What's the threshold? It happens EVERY SINGLE TIME.
Why would it pick "and's" under ANY circumstances? Does this happen for anyone, or just me??
Already have the text replacement set up. No change. "And's" still gets suggested and inserted, regardless.
