How To Allow VIP Alerts While Focus In Do Not Disturb

I think it is something simple; copied the email from the VIP list item, then went into contacts and created a new contact with that email and Forum name. Now I can use the Focus DND options; should work. Will keep people posted.

I would still like the notice to visually show up on my Lock Screen, but will have to work on that one.

I think I got that; how about groups. An example: I want to be alerted if I get an email from a certain site/forum. While I can declare any email from that site as a VIP, (this works great and shows up in my VIP folder and widget, I would like to be alerted while in Focus DND. There is no specific contact in my contacts folder because this is a generic email not attached to any specific person, Any thoughts?

You gave me an idea which should work; I made the forum site email address a contact. Just tried it with this forum email I received with a link to your post; added to VIP which also had option to crate contact, then I could go through the Focus steps you outlined. Seemed to work. However, there is another problem; when I clicked on an Existing VIP email “contact” there is no option to create a contact in the contact list, Probably missing something obvious.😔 Any help would be much appreciated.

What is the difference between “in Focus” and “while Focus enabled”

While part of my theory works it does not accomplish what I want.☹️ What I would like is to show/create a VIP widget or show/create a VIP shortcut which can be shown on the Lock Screen. I looked at some third party apps but the free ones had adds and I don’t want to pay monthly to go add free.

Any thoughts/ideas? I can’t be the only one with this request?🤨

I wish there was a way to show the VIP email alerts on the Lock Screen; there may be; just learning as I go.
