Carrier unlocked the sim but phone still shows its locked

If you see a message or setting that the SIM is locked, the phone is still locked to Xfinity.....no matter what message you might have received from Xfinity.

Since the carrier is the only one who can unlock the SIM card on your phone, if Xfinity is your carrier, you will need to get back with them to work though the process.

As per apple article (i am on os16.3) phone carrier lock status should have shown no restrictions. but I still see it as SIM locked.
