i have already cleared my web data and cache as well as done a hard reset. the battery drains fast and nothing loads. Wifi does not work on phone but does on all other devices in the house. phone says it is connected to wifi and signal is strong but nothing works. any ideas?

I think that if this issue is still persisting despite the hard reset and web data being cleared resetting the phone is probably your best option, but I totally get your hesitancy to reset the phone yourself. At this point, I think the next step should be to contact Apple support and see what they have to say. They can also help you with resetting the phone if needed.
