My signatures disappear in mail ventura 13.1

My signatures in accountsettings disappear in mail ventura 13.1 on my new iMac M1 when I stop en restart mail.

I never experienced this phenomenon. A bug?

Hello Joanbook,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We're happy to look into this with you. If you only noticed the issue after installing macOS 13.1, it's possible the issue is software related. You should update to macOS 13.2 as it includes enhancements and bug fixes for your Mac.

What's new in the updates for macOS Ventura - Apple Support

If you continue to experience issues after the software is up-to-date, please let us know what exactly you're doing when you say you "stop and restart mail". If you're having issues with the Mail app that would require you to force quit the app, tell us what's happening. Providing as many details as you can about issues related to a particular app or feature, is key in helping us isolate the issue and provide the right actions to resolve the issue.

Let us know if either of these options help, and if needed, we can continue researching possible solutions.

Best regards.

Joanbook,

Can you let us know whether you’re able to test if this happens with multiple accounts? If so, are those accounts from different email service providers (i.e. iCloud, Gmail, Exchange, etc) or all the same service provider?

When you go back in to Mail > Preferences > Signatures and click the plus sign to add a new signature, does the missing one come up again or are you having to enter in a new one each time?

Next, let’s test this in a new user on your Mac to rule out a situation that might be specific to one user. Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac

Add a user
1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Users & Groups.
If the lock at the bottom left is locked, click it to unlock the preference pane.

2. Click the Add button below the list of users.
3. Click the New Account pop-up menu, then choose a type of user.
• Administrator: An administrator can add and manage other users, install apps, and change settings. The new user you create when you first set up your Mac is an administrator. Your Mac can have multiple administrators. You can create new ones, and convert standard users to administrators. Don’t set up automatic login for an administrator. If you do, someone could simply restart your Mac and gain access with administrator privileges. To keep your Mac secure, don’t share administrator names and passwords.
• Standard: Standard users are set up by an administrator. Standard users can install apps and change their own settings, but can’t add other users or change other users’ settings.
• Sharing Only: Sharing-only users can access shared files remotely, but can’t log in to or change settings on the computer. To give the user permission to access your shared files or screen, you may need to change settings in the File Sharing, Screen Sharing, or Remote Management pane of Sharing preferences. See Set up file sharing and Share the screen of another Mac.

4. For more information about the options for each type of user, click the Help button in the lower-left corner of the dialog.

5. Enter a full name for the new user. An account name is generated automatically. To use a different account name, enter it now—you can’t change it later.

6. Enter a password for the user, then enter it again to verify. Enter a password hint to help the user remember their password.

7. Click Create User.

Thanks.

Problem is present for mail of different accounts. All disappear after closing an restarting mail.

No there is a proposal for my "me" account remarkably which I use seldomly. (my prior email account is email@mac.com

The rest of your testing program takes too much time now.
