I have found the iCloud subscription accessible through my iCloud account profile in Settings (desktop Mac), so it is no kind of problem. I just find it odd the don't show up on my iPhone as well.

Do you have another Apple ID?
If none of the suggestions worked then contact Apple Apple Support
The receipt shows the correct email address for my AppleID; the payment (through a credit card account) shows as Apple.com. So, this is really puzzling, as the iCloud purchase is not through some third party vendor.
