Subscribed to Paramount but why do I have to rent Yellowstone

Paramount plus in the US doesn’t have Yellowstone at all.

Season 1-4 are on peacock.

The current season of Yellowstone is only available through the paramount cable channel or purchase on Amazon or iTunes.

as for why, ask paramount why they decided to do distribution deals that didn’t include their streaming service paramount plus.

I keep getting those P's mixed up....

Paramount+ only offers the seasons 1-4 of Yellowstone for free. Season 5 has to be purchased through iTunes.

Note: Apple did away with renting television shows years ago. It's purchase only.

Because it makes no sense for paramount to license their most popular show to another streaming service and not have it on their own platform.

Guess paramount underestimated how popular it was going to be.
