M1 Macbook Pro gets stuck as if option key is held down after using photoshop

I have a 14" Macbook Pro with an M1 Pro chip running MacOS Ventura 13.1. After a while of using photoshop, my keyboard inevitably gets stuck as though the option key were held down. For example, qwertyuiop becomes œ∑´®†¥¨ˆøπ. This only seems to happen when I'm using Photoshop, but it affects the entire system and cannot be reset unless i restart the computer. I have an external magic keyboard I often use, but the problem occurs on both the external and built in keyboards. Here are solutions I've already tried:

Restarting, and pressing command + option + p + r while restarting: Both work, but it's only a matter of time before it happens again and i have to restart again.

Checking sticky keys: sticky keys are turned off, and turning them on and toggling the option key does not fix it.

Switching keyboards: as mentioned above, the problem persists between keyboards until the computer is restarted.

Option + caps lock: I saw someone solve a similar issue by pressing those keys together, but it doesn't work for me.

Like I said, I'm 99% sure this is related to photoshop as it never happened before I started using photoshop and it ONLY happens when I've been using it, usually starting right in the middle of using the program. I do use plenty of keyboard shortcuts, but I can't think of anything out of the ordinary I've accidentally hit so many times. I also haven't had any problems with other Adobe software like Illustrator. Unfortunately, I have to use photoshop for several hours each day for work, and I'm wasting a lot of time having to restart everything I'm doing multiple times in one session. Any solutions/suggestions are appreciated!

Hello less_than_zero.

From what you've shared it sounds like you've isolated this behavior specifically to Photoshop. To investigate potential resolutions we recommend contacting the app developer directly. You can find steps for this process via macOS here: How to contact an app developer - Apple Support

"Contact the developer of a macOS app

  1. Open the App Store on your Mac.
  2. Click the sign-in button  or your photo.
  3. A list of apps appears. Click the app that you want. If you can't find the app, use the search bar.
  4. The app's product page appears. Click Support or App Support. If you don't see Support or App Support, make sure that you're signed in with the correct Apple ID."

Cheers.
