iPhone hotspot network and Gen 3 Apple TV 4k issue

So, using iPhone for internet service, checked with provider and not a violation of service. Whien Apple TV is setup via iPhone/iPad auto configuration, Apple TV configures and connects about 60 percent of time. If Apple TV goes to sleep or iPhone is moved/taken for use, apple tv refuses to connect to hotspot, I have to reset system, make the iOS device auto config to restore connection. Any thoughts of how to not have to do reset and auto config?

Hi fssntuff,

It seems you're trying to use Apple TV with your Hotspot and we want to help.

Instead of using the automatic configuration, have you tried setting a password and saving that instead?

You'll want to go to your Personal Hotspot settings, turn on Allow Others to Join, then connect with choosing your network and typing that password.
