unable to play explicit songs on apple watch

I have tons of explicit songs on my apple music that i can listen to no problem on my iphone. however, when i go through my apple watch to play songs, all the explicit songs are gone. i play them off my iphone and im able to rewind or pause and play off my apple watch, but the songs are physically in my playlist or even in my downloads via the watch. explicit songs don't seem to be able to sync to my watch but everything else will. and i can't seem to fix the problem either, the only "solution" i can find says to sign out of apple music then back in but that didnt make the songs available on my watch.

edit: and YES, i've already checked to make sure the content is set to explicit in the settings. makes no difference on my watch
