Attempting to make iTunes song my ringtone. How?

Seems we need to take care, because some songs / music is copyrighted.


It is also quite possible to create your own unique and original ringtones.

Or:

Use royalty-free loops in GarageBand

Generally, ringtones can be created by importing files into Apple's free app. iOS GarageBand, and making any changes using the tools available in the app.


NB: GarageBand now requires iOS 16.0 or later


How to:

Import a song from the Music app into GarageBand for iPhone – Apple Support


Scroll down to: "Share a GarageBand song as a ringtone or text tone":

(ie: for info on exporting completed ringtones), in Apple Support's article:
