turn OFF "access icloud data on the web" does not work

On iphone, turn OFF "access icloud data on the web" does not work. I try to turn off, it ask security question, i enter the answers, hit verify and it then states "something went wrong. try again." i have logged into my account via ipad, verified all answers are correct. iphone running v16.2 (20c65). I do NOT use icloud for anything on any of my devices. Got really tired of apple deleting all my passwords any time i turned off icloud. I want this setting turned off. I have rebooted tele, no change.

Thanks 20230127

Hi silkythreads,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today.

If you aren't using iCloud for anything, then there wouldn't be any data on iCloud to turn off access to. Please see: Manage web access to your iCloud data.

If you want to look into the issue further, please update to iOS 16.3: Update your iPhone or iPad and contact Apple Support for a deeper dive.

Have a fantastic day!
