UNKNOWN INCOMING CALLS

Good Day

i got a new contract and when importing contacts from iCloud, all incoming calls show up as unknown.

please can I get assistance on this issue.

The caller ID information is received from your carrier when there is an incoming call. Once the telephone number information is sent to the iPhone, from your carrier, then it is matched up with the right name in the contact list. If no information is sent by your carrier then it will result as an “unknown caller” call.


(1) Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

  • Press and quickly release Volume UP button
  • Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
  • Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF). 


(2)  If the above does not work then - Contact your carrier and they should be able to check the settings, on their side, associated with your account and resolve this issue.
