I use them for sleep (in fact I can’t sleep without ANC). But the noise is incredibly loud and wakes me up. I don’t understand why this feature is necessary, or cannot be simply turned off…
The accessibility setting used to lower the noise, but it no longer works. It should allow you to set it to 0% anyway, not 10% or whatever it was before.
Please fix this Apple! It’s such an unnecessary problem and easy fix.
I have this issue too and have no such option of “case notifications” on/off etc. that people are suggesting. can’t use at night as it wakes me up EVERY night
Unfortunately, this is for the charging CASE sound, not for the sound in the AirPods. Another generic answer by apple that doesn't solve the actual technical software problem that this is. Generic answers don't help. Software solutions do. Thanks Neil22R :)
Come on Apple, please sort this.
But it doesn't work. Have you tested it yourself? That setting gets ignored while playing audio
that doesnt even show up as an option, i have airpod 3rd generation
Is this really working for you? Try testing it by playing a youtube video in the background and simultaneously trying to switch between transparency and noise cancellation modes. The 15% gets completely ignored and plays at full volume.
In addition to all of these comments here, Yes turning down the tone will help with the “Low Battery” Notification but, as you turn down the tone it decreases the volume of switching modes ( AirPods Pro ) too, so yes that does work but it also decreases other things too, so I agree that Apple should design and create a switch that turns that up/down or on/off. But reporting this here doesn’t do much since Apple only reviews for fails in the system. So if you would like to suggest that feature you can download the Feedback app and make a suggestion for that.
Try turning off the headphones safety. It worked for me. There is a bug where the low battery sound is dependent on the set volume. And if you set the limit to 70 decibels you tend to have the volume set to the maximum.
I’m having the SAME problem! And it isn’t even my AirPod Pros that are dying! The case can go to a lower percentage and that annoying dying battery sound will come on 39589392 times, over and over to the point that I can not listen to a single song because of it! It makes me so angry that I want to throw them in the trash! The level of crazy that this brings out of me is wild lol. Is there NO CURE for this problem?!
For me the issue persists, even after changing the chime volume, any time music is playing. There basically is no fix, unless Apple fixes the software itself. It's so insanely ridiculous that this takes them so long to fix software wise.
THANK YOU!!! It sounds dramatic but I have leapt out of my chair from hearing this sound unexpectedly before. I start clenching my whole body when my headphones get close to 10% battery, lol. This has just saved me. Why would there need to be sound effects??? At a default setting of 95% volume?????? I'm wearing the headphones because I'm so sensitive to sounds to begin with.
You’re a legend for this discovery. I’ll take 15% tone volume for the low battery. I do want to know the battery is low, I just want to also be able to hear myself think when I’m reminded. So thanks!
you're an angel for this!!!!!😭😭
this is true, i'll probably end up getting alzheimers 10 years earlier because of this garbage
This is so annoying that apple ignoring these simple problems, i already reported like 4-5 times some bugs, they just deleted my posts here!! Thx they didn't delete this one, just wtf
