My Apple Watch Screen is Stuck
My watch looks like it’s loading an update but is stuck With a partially complete ring and has been all day
how can I nudge it back to life again?

Try a forced restart of the Watch i.e. press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds, then release both buttons when you see the Apple logo.
Then while it is doing that Force Restart the paired iphone Force restart iPhone – Apple Support (UK)
