How to fix 9th Gen. Ipad with blank black screen, but Siri still replies?

Why is my Screen black and won't reset by pushing the middle button and top and holding them down for over 30 seconds but nothing happens, no apple logo or anything? It's a 9th generation regular iPad that is fairly new, well under a year since I purchased it maybe 6 months old as I purchased it new. it is about my neice's 9th Generation Ipad under her apple ID she doesn't have the info for at the moment to sign in , it is not any of my devices linkedto this apple ID, again its a 9th gen Ipad from linked to my 11 year old neices apple ID, not any of the devices linked to my apple ID personally.

We want to help get the iPad responding properly again and resolve the issue with the dark screen.


Use these steps to force restart the iPad:

"Force restart iPad (models with Face ID or with Touch ID in the top button)

If your iPad doesn’t have the Home button, do the following:

  1. Press and quickly release the volume button nearest to the top button.
  2. Press and quickly release the volume button farthest from the top button.
  3. Press and hold the top button.
  4. When the Apple logo appears, release the top button."

This should resolve the issue and get the iPad screen working again.
