Messages iMessages send and receive fault

Hi I recently upgraded to iPhone 14 Pro. All data tranferred succesfully except messages and I Messages which I can no longer send or receive. Tried deleting and adding my mobile number to 'send and receive' As it always said awairing activation. As I try to re add number it sends verification code to my mobile which I can't receive.

Checked and rechecked everything. Been to my service provider and replaced SIM. Any ideas?

Hello WaitingActivation,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities.

Please try these troubleshooting steps before attempting to activate iMessage again:

  1. Open Settings > General > Date & Time and make sure that your time zone is set correctly.
  2. Turn iMessage and FaceTime off, then back on in:  Settings > Messages and Settings > FaceTime.
  3. Back up your device and check that you have the latest version of iOS installed: Update your iPhone or iPad.
  4. Wait at least 24 hours before attempting to activate iMessage again.

All the best!
