Hey there,
Let's go a little deeper to figure out what's causing the issue.
1. Check If Your Number Is Set for iMessage:
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and make sure:
Your phone number is listed and checked under "You Can Receive iMessages To and Reply From."
if it's not there, tap Use Your Apple ID for iMessage and sign in.
2. Check for Carrier Issues:
If only verification codes (2FA
messages) aren't coming through, your carrier might be blocking them.
Contact your carrier and ask if there's a block or issue with receiving shortcode
SMS (many 2FA messages come from shortcodes).
Try inserting your SIM card into another phone to see if messages arrive there.
3. Turn Off & Reactivate iMessage:
- Settings > Messages > Turn iMessage
Off.
Restart your phone, Turn iMessage back on and wait for it to activate (it can take a few minutes).
4.Check for Blocked Contacts:
• Go to Settings > Messages > Blocked Contacts and make sure no numbers or services (like Apple) are blocked.
5.Try a Different SIM Card:
If you have access to another SIM card, insert it into your phone and see if messages come through. If they do, your carrier might be the issue.
6.Reset Network Settings:
Sometimes, network issues can block messages from being received. Try this:
- Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings
Don’t worry your data will not deleted ,only the Bluetooth information and Your Wi-Fi passwords will be erased, but it might fix the problem.
