Trying to install Davinci Resolve on Sierra 10.6.8 the operation couldnt be completed. (com.apple.installer.pagecontroller error~1.)

Help. I don’t know what’s wrong. (I’M NOT MAC SAVVY AT ALL) I’m trying to install davinci resolve on Sierra 10.6.8. And I keep getting “the operation couldnt be completed. (com.apple.installer.pagecontroller error~1.)” I don’t know what to do. I just got this computer a couple days ago from a friend. Need this software for work. Please help

Dude I’m sorry. I was gonna delete this. Because clearly I have no idea what I’m talking about. When I go to about mac. I get Mac OS X 10.6.8. And now I realized I need minimum Big Sur to install this application. So I’m in the process of updating
