How to turn on the "icon" or "picture" feature when typing a particular word?

Need some professional help.

With my iPhone 6s during texting, when I type the word "island," a small icon/picture of an island will be popped up. And I could choose the icon/picture as part of my message.

When I type the word "cake," a small icon/picture of a cake will be popped up.

BUT I could not do any of the above with my iPhone 14 Pro! Very frustrating.

Could someone tell me what I could do to turn this feature on?

Thank you very much.

Don't see the emoji keyboard?

If you don't see the emoji keyboard, make sure that it's added.

  1. Go to Settings > General and tap Keyboard.
  2. Tap Keyboards, then tap Add New Keyboard.
  3. Tap Emoji.
