‘IPhone unavailable message’ on Lock Screen

My wife’s iphone suddenly locked itself with this message. But after one hour it returned to normal. This happened without ANY unsuccessful attempts to log in. I’ve never seen this before. It feels like a software glitch. Anyone out there with any insights? IPhone 11 Pro running IOS 16.11

Update to iOS 16.3 to fix bugs in previous systems. No guarantee that the bug that you saw will be fixed though.

Can you please confirm the device and iOS version: there is no 16.11.
