How do I delet files from the Files app? No Delete option showing.

Delete Files Through iCloud Drive:


I. Enable iCloud Drive on an iPhone:

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: [your name] (the top item)
  3. Tap: iCloud
  4. Tap: [an item] (so that it is green)
  5. Tap: iCloud Drive (so that it is green)


Then...

You did not mention which Cloud Drives (iCloud Drive, Google Drive, OneDrive, DropBox, Flickr, box, AmazonDrive, Adobe Creative Cloud etc) are being used in the Files App.


For example, if it is in the iCloud Drive, you need to enable iCloud Drive under Settings > [Tap your Name] > iCloud > iCloud Drive [Enable]

If it is on any other Cloud Drive you need to download the Drive App from the App Store and log into the App with your credentials for the Drive.


Only then you can access those files for editing or deletion from the Files App
