IOS 16.3 iPhone 14 Pro Max and Bose Music app
Bose Music and Tenda WiFi apps both still not detecting wifi. Bose say Apple. Apple say Bose. It's been going on for 2-3 months according to the forums. Any fixes yet?

I have the same problem, asked my sister to come to my place and i tried setting up the soundbar with her galaxy phone and the problem completely went away. It’s definitely some bug with the iphone 14 and/or bose music app. Strangely my iphone 14 doesn’t have wifi issues with anything else and the bose music app works fine with older iphones
Can easily replicate the bug with my iphone 14 pro max. Once set up is complete if you click on the account settings icon that’s at the top left side of the bose music app screen (looks like a half headphone) it’ll will cause the bug. This does not happen with a galaxy phone

Hi Sean
Did you use 'side by side' transfer from old phone to new? I think that's where the problem is. Apple told be to back up phone to iCloud then to reset then download just Bose app when phone still clear. It then worked. Went on to download iCloud back up for full reinstall and it continued to work. There were other apps too that couldn't find WiFi network eg Tenda WiFi and TPtlc. All work now. Let me know how you get on. Good luck
found a bypass without loosing data, tested working.
step 1: delete Bose music app from device
Step 2: make a backup after app was deleted
step 3: reset iPhone and restore backup (the one without the app installed)
step 4: reinstall app from app store
That is the exact problem I had for months. It worked for me with my iPad and and old iPhone, but would not connect with the iPhone 14. I spent about an hour on the phone with Apple Support a few weeks back and they indicated it was likely a Bose problem. There is a Redditt thread about the issue also that I forwarded to Apple Support. The Reddit thread reported the fix which I relayed. https://www.reddit.com/r/bose/comments/xrpz2g/bose_music_app_will_not_recognize_wifi_on_iphone/
If you have not tried deleting the Bose app and reinstalling you might want to try it. I was convinced it was an Apple problem until this fix worked for me.
With the latest iOS on the BOSE app update, this problem has been sold for me on my iPhone 14 pro. I assume it must be solved for
everyone as well.
Same problem here, just reset my iPhone and restored from backup due to other reasons, and now app doesn’t work because of its wifi issue, had this happen before, only way I was able to fix it before was to reset phone and not to restore from backup, Ot something I want to do again.
iphone 14 pro max, and it happened with different versions of iOS 13
Good evening PaddyR70,
It might be helpful for you to speak directly with an Apple advisor about this issue. Click the link below, choose the phone number for your region from the list, and call when it is convenient.
Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support
Take care.
I did it too. Many times. Not working at all.
the issue comes only on a fresh installed 14pro max. (Not restored or copied from the previous phone).
bose does not help (had contact with 3 support agent) (imaging how long to explain to them this issue, when the problem only occurs on 1 simple iphone model!!)
it is really incredible that a premium company like Bose not able to get their app working probably!!
i think Sonos would never allow such a situation! Sad but true
Definitely an iPhone 14 problem - my Bose app finds my S1 pro but won’t connect even though I’m already connected via Bluetooth - the app won’t pair. Tried doing everything…my iPad works no problem though. So definitely an iPhone 14 issue.
It’s fixed! New Apple update to the app and it works. Thank you Bose!
the iphone gave me two options when i was setting it up/ restoring from the cloud, can’t remember what they were but one was 15 minutes and the other was over an hour.
I will give your fix a try on the weekend and report back
When I did the side-by-side transfer, I had to login to all of my 2FA apps so that they recognize the new iPhone. So it sounds like if I do the backup/reset/install-bose-app/restore-backup, then I have to login again to all my apps so that they recognize the new iPhone. Sounds like a lot of hassle just to fix one app. That's too bad that Apple is not willing to fix that side-by-side transfer issue. :-(
Had this issue for over 3months now on iPhone 14 plus!
Fixed it by selling all Bose products .
I spent days on this bug with Bose support, just to realize Nobody knows how to fix it. I am not willing to reset the iPhone just for one app. uninstall + reinstall Bose Music app should be enough.
Did someone try this? Did it work? And without hazzle with all logins/passwords again?
If not, I will go back to the shop, show to the description of the product showing Bose claims it works on IOS devices. It doesn`t and I will get my money returned, buying Sonos since I cant`t trust Bose. Bose also suddenly change technology making the new «smart speakers» work with another app/standard. Then it`s hazzle setting up, grouping with the ones you bought a year or two ago. Then I have the apps «Bose Connect+», «Bose Music», and whatever next they will launch in a year installed in my phone and an unstable grouping.
According to Norwegian consumer law, I can ask for money back from the shop (they have 100+ shops here in Norway) if the product is not working as advertised. Then the shop/company can claim Bose. And Sonos got new customers…. Consumer power!
Bose, FIX THIS! Don`t do that «POINTING GAME» with Apple, look for SOLUTIONS instead, together with Apple if needed! Thousands of other WIFI<—>CLOUD apps are working fine on Iphone 14/IOS16.x, just not yours and a few more!
By the way, cudos for great sounding speakers…
Hi!
I just did this yesterday thank you! Love Apple customer care 😊. They are looking into it. Thank you
