CarPlay using iPads and a display for CarPlay by connecting our iPhones.

CarPlay can be used in a car that accepts it (newer cars) and only iPhone can be used to connect to it is not fair for Apple product users. Apple should allow using iPads as well and as a display for CarPlay by connecting our iPhones. That way iPad users can take multiple advantages of using them by hanging them in consoles or dashboards and by making them removable as well. I strongly suggest Apple to consider letting Apple fanatics like me to use iPads for those old car owners or multiple car owners like me.

Contributors here are all end-users, just like you. We have absolutely no insight into Apple’s product design process, reasoning or differentiation beyond information publicly released.

Other than the site Moderators, Apple neither monitor nor participate within these user-to-user technical forums. As such, comments posted here will go unseen by your presumed target audience.

As you correctly observe, Apple CarPlay is a feature of iOS for iPhone; iPadOS for iPad does not support AirPlay.

While iOS and iPadOS are closely related, each have features and functionality that is unique to each of these platforms, AirPlay being just one such feature.

Apple does invite submission of comments and feature requests via its Product Feedback portal. For iPad and iPadOS:

Since iOS has the CarPlay feature built in and has that blueprint already, hence, AirPlaying CarPlay on iPad or replicating the feature on iPadOS for iPad would greatly help its loyal customers with older version of multi car owners. What is there to lose for Apple but to gain more customers like me who would greatly benefit from its iPad uses, additionally prompting many other or new customers to buy iPads for the purpose and would enhance Apple's iPad/iPhone sales. Am I asking for too much from Apple here?
