Connect Bose earbuds to iMac

Bluetooth finds them, they connect for about 10 seconds, then it says "connection rejected". Yes, I've restarted, added, removed, downloaded, googled ... did a little dance. Anyone else solve this problem? I'm back to using my AirPods but I really love my Bose.

Bose 700 Connection Good morning. I am not able to connect my MacBook Pro 16 to my Bose 700 headphones. I am running MacOS Monterey version 12.6. I am able to see the Bose 700 in the Bluetooth device section but even after checking on it the sound does not play through the Bose 700s. Any words of wisdom? Many thanks,

You may want to check with Bose earbuds support:

Eg: maybe there's a firmware update ... or an app.
