Connect Bose earbuds to iMac

Bluetooth finds them, they connect for about 10 seconds, then it says "connection rejected". Yes, I've restarted, added, removed, downloaded, googled ... did a little dance. Anyone else solve this problem? I'm back to using my AirPods but I really love my Bose.

iMac 27″, macOS 12.6

You may want to check with Bose earbuds support:

Eg: maybe there's a firmware update ... or an app.
