Troubleshooting Found AirPods:
A. Just Hand these in:
Be honest about this, and hand them in to local authorities, or to the Lost & Found department at the facility where these were lost. Whomever is looking for these, they would backtrack their locations and contact the applicable person.
B. Your Privacy may be at Risk here:
If these are associated to someone else's account then they may be found through Find My, if another device exists? Likely the case, if these belong to someone you know. and they have their device nearby So, trash these at a local eWaste center (you'll likely find these at a local retailer).
