Issue of connecting public wifi

Hi, I got an issue when I was trying to connect to the university Wi-Fi named eduroam. I entered the correct password, but it showed that it just connected 1 second, then disconnected, then connected 1 second, then repeated. I don’t know why, cuz I just bought this iPad yesterday. However, my iPhone and MacBook and my previous iPad can connect the eduroam Wi-Fi well.

Does the iPad successfully connect to other WiFi networks? Is the problem that you describe just with the eduroam WiFi network?

Begin with a forced-restart of your iPad:

Force restart iPad (models with Face ID or with Touch ID in the top button)

If your iPad doesn’t have the Home button, do the following:

  1. Press and quickly release the volume button nearest to the top button.
  2. Press and quickly release the volume button farthest from the top button.
  3. Press and hold the top button.
  4. When the Apple logo appears, release the top button.

Force restart iPad (models with the Home button)

Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.

If the restart does not resolve the issue, try resetting the Network Settings:

Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPad > Reset > Reset Network Settings

Should the problem persist with all WiFi networks, you might reasonably assume a hardware fault.
