Find My on Airpods Max keeps re-enabling

I have tried numerous times to turn off "find my" on my Airpods from Mac as well as my iPhone but I find that it keeps on re-enabling itself. I have removed them from my account as well as hard reset it and it keeps doing the same thing. Can anyone advise?

Hi Kyle89ZA,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.

In order to turn off Find My for your AirPods, make sure that you have removed from Bluetooth settings and then remove from your device list.

"Remove your AirPods or Beats headphones from Find My

To remove your AirPods or Beats headphones from Find My, unpair it from Bluetooth settings on each of your devices, then remove it from your devices list.

See Unpair, restart, or reset your AirPods in the AirPods User Guide."

You can find these steps in Turn off Find My on your devices and items - Apple Support.

Regards.
