Hi there zee285,

To start, have you checked to be sure the MacBook Pro model you have is compatible with Auto-Unlock for your Apple Watch? You can see the exact model you have in the Apple menu () > About This Mac, and compare it to the list of compatible models below:

- MacBook introduced in 2015 or later
- MacBook Pro introduced in late 2013 or later
- MacBook Air introduced in 2013 or later
- Mac mini introduced in 2014 or later
- iMac introduced in 2013 or later
- iMac Pro
- Mac Pro introduced in 2013 or later
- Mac Studio

You can also check to see if it's supported with these steps:

If you're not sure whether your Mac supports Auto Unlock, press and hold the Option key while choosing Apple menu  > System Information. Select Wi-Fi in the sidebar of System Information. On the right side, look for ”Auto Unlock: Supported.”

You'll find this information here: System requirements for Continuity on Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch - Apple Support

If your Mac is supported, make sure you're following these steps:

How to set up Auto Unlock
Make sure that your devices meet the system requirements for Auto Unlock and are set up as follows:
- Your Mac and Apple Watch have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on.
- Your Mac and Apple Watch are signed in with the same Apple ID using two-factor authentication.
- Your Apple Watch is using a passcode.

If your Mac is using an earlier version of macOS:
1. Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences.
2. Click Security & Privacy.
3. Select ”Use your Apple Watch to unlock apps and your Mac” or “Allow your Apple Watch to unlock your Mac.”

If the issue persists, work through these suggestions found in the related article linked in blue at the top left corner of this page:

If you're having difficulty getting Auto Unlock to work, turn the unlock feature off and back on:
1. On your Mac, open System Settings (or System Preferences) and turn off the Apple Watch setting described in the previous section.
2. Restart your Mac.
3. Turn the Apple Watch setting back on, as described in the previous section.
If that doesn't work, install the latest macOS updates and watchOS updates. Also make sure that your Mac isn't using internet sharing or screen sharing, which are turned off by default.

Let us know how it goes.

Cheers!
