Cannot print downloaded file (adobe acrobat reader) from my computer to HP Envy 6400 wifi connected printer. How can I connect to printer: is the adobe software issue or my computer or the printer?

This article explains everything required to print wirelessly using your Mac. It also links to a page (About AirPrint - Apple Support) that lists AirPrint-friendly printers. It does not look like your HP Envy 6400 is on the list, which explains why this process is not working.

Thank you for your info. I subsequently decided to chuck the useless HPprinter and got an Epson that run on ethernet wire connection and actual push button controls. I hope this will be a better choice to perform simple necessary scanning, copying, printing functions.
