How to install Prolific PL2303 macOS driver in Ventura

It is getting harder and harder to install drivers as we have progressed from Sierra to High Sierra to Mojave to Catalina to Big Sur to Monterey to Ventura. I need to install Prolific PL2303 in Ventura. It will create a serial port that I can use with a USB-C to micro-USB cable to see the console output of my internet gateway appliance.

The driver is at https://www.prolific.com.tw/US/ShowProduct.aspx?p_id=229&pcid=41. But when I try to install Version 1.5.1, which appears to go back to 2016, I see this:

There has got to be a way to circumvent this. How?

It isn’t a 32-bit driver, or it wouldn’t work with Big Sur. This is from the page whose URL I included above:

For Mac OS Big Sur (version 11) - see NOTE below
For Mac OS Catalina (version 10.15) .
For Mac OS High Sierra (version 10.14)
For Mac OS High Sierra (version 10.13)
For Mac OS X Sierra (version 10.12)
For Mac OS X El Capitan (version 10.11)
For Mac OS X Yosemite (version 10.10)
For Mac OS X Mavericks (version 10.9)
For PL2303 H/HX/HXD/EA/RA/SA/TA/TB chip versions
For Prolific USB VID_067B&PID_2303 Only
For PL2303GC, GS, GT, GL, GE , GD, GR chip versions
Includes Driver Installation Manual
NOTE: Mac OS High Sierra 10.13 introduces a new feature that requires user approval before loading new third-party kernel extensions. Go to System Preferences - Security & Privacy and click Allow.

Gatekeeper has gotten five iterations (I guess, 1. Mojave, 2. Catalina, 3. Big Sur, 4. Monterey, 5. Ventura) more restrictive in what can be installed where. I am just wondering, whether there are ways to bypass those restrictions.
