Strange Screen Sharing App Running in Background. Purple Icon

Hi. It wouldn’t let me reply to someone’s question for some reason.

has anyone figured out what’s up with the strange screen sharing app running in the background issue that people have been having? It’s not an app on my phone or anyone’s who has posted about it. The icon is purple. I just ended a call and double clicked the home button after I ended it and it showed that it was open in the background. I didn’t get a screenshot of it. But I took a screenshot from the question feed I tried to reply to to continue the conversation in hopes of a resolution(I attached the screenshot. The date is of the first persons post about it) . I’m worried that someone hacked into my phone and is watching it. Please help! Apple, if you’re checking these please help and let us know what’s going on and why. And please fix it!

Were you working with support from a service company like your internet provider, Apple, or a VPN etc. if so, they would have asked to share your phone screen. Another source may be working with Face Time, What’sApp or similar service. Have you paired with a smart television or a monitor through YouTube or any of the many streaming service from Tubi, CBS, Paramount +, or any of the dozens of video feed. How were you communicating on the first call? Was it a peer to peer communication like AirDroid or AirPlay?

if none of the above continues to elude your efforts, there is more information required to chase down this intruder.
