Wireless charger for iPhone 14 pro max

I had a iPhone 11 Pro and have a wireless charger it worked fine. But I just upgraded to a iPhone 14 Pro Max and when I put it on charge last night it did the lights like before showing it was charging but after about an hour the wireless charger started blinking with red flashing light. Why?

Hello Dumpsite,

We suggest removing your case on your iPhone 14 Pro Max if you haven't already to test to see if the charger works. Additionally, you may want to check the documentation that came with your wireless charger to see if it supports the iPhone 14 Pro Max. That will help to isolate the issue to either the charger or the new iPhone.

Lastly, you may find some of the steps in this article useful: If your iPhone or iPod touch won't charge - Apple Support

We hope that helps.

Take care.

The red flashing light on your wireless charger indicates that there is an issue with the charging process. There are a few possible reasons why your iPhone 14 Pro Max may not be charging properly on your wireless charger:

  1. Incompatibility: Your wireless charger may not be compatible with the iPhone 14 Pro Max. It's possible that the charger you have is designed to work with older iPhone models and may not be able to charge the newer iPhone 14 Pro Max.
  2. Case interference: If you're using a protective case on your iPhone 14 Pro Max, it may be interfering with the wireless charging process. Some cases are thicker than others and may block the charging coils on the back of your phone, preventing it from charging properly.
  3. Misalignment: Wireless charging works by placing your phone on a charging pad that has a set of charging coils. If your phone is not aligned properly on the charging pad, it may not be able to charge. Make sure your phone is centered on the charging pad and that the coils on the pad and the back of your phone are lined up.
  4. Overheating: If your phone gets too hot while charging, it may stop charging to prevent damage to the battery. This can happen if you're using a case that doesn't allow for proper ventilation, or if the charging pad itself is getting too hot.
  5. Software issues: There could be a software issue on your iPhone 14 Pro Max that is preventing it from charging properly on the wireless charger. Try restarting your phone and see if that resolves the issue.

To troubleshoot the issue, try removing your phone case and repositioning your iPhone 14 Pro Max on the charging pad to see if it starts charging again. If that doesn't work, try using a different wireless charger that is compatible with the iPhone 14 Pro Max to see if that resolves the issue on

MagSafe is a proprietary technology from Apple to magnetically attach a wired charger to your Apple device.

Mag = Magnetic (can detach if accidentally tripped on cord or yanked off desk).

Safe = Safely protects against damage to the Apple device.

Your iPhone is compatible with MagSafe wireless charging (which is faster and more convenient).

For that to work, you would need:

  1. 20W USB-C Power Adapter.
  2. MagSafe Charger.
