Apple Watch is Missing the Charging Brick

This is a user forum, you are not addressing apple here just fellow users

been that way for years, my apple watch did not come with an ac charger I just used on all the other ac chargers I have from other products, think some the first generation did come with one but I'm not sure, it's the same deal if you buy an iphone they also no longer comes with ac chargers would assume the same about airpods

same deal with headsets, and heard people say samsung have begun the same practice

They certainly did help save the environment with me. I've owned numerous Apple Watches and have numerous chargers I could use. I also own a number of devices, which charge with USB C, so I already have a number of charging plugs I can use.

Sorry you didn't, but you could have used a previous Apple Watch charger you might have owned or your computer, if it has USB C. So "you" had to buy a plug. There are more people on the planet than you, who likely don't need to buy one.

Thanks lobsterghost, I appreciate you posting the link to Apple. I talked to the sales person in the smart watch section at costco, after returning my watch. They are sold out of type c chargers because they sell quickly with the watches most of the purchasers don’t have an extra charger kicking around. The tech savvy guys with lots of gadget’s probably do have lots of chargers laying around. Personally I am convinced it’s a cash grab, and if more people like Jaythekaz return the item, maybe Apple will stop trying to get the extra dough from us. If it’s not a cash grab Apple could give you one included in the price if it’s required for the purchaser. I will use your link posted, much appreciated.

You're welcome. I don't believe it's a cash grab at all. But you can believe anything you want.

Apple hasn't included a charger with Apple Watch for the last several versions. They don't include them with iPhone either. And before you suggest you may just switch over to Samsung or Google, they don't include them either.

Next time you buy something, perhaps a little research before purchase would prove beneficial. With EVERY product Apple sells on the the online page is a section called, "What's in the box." where it is clearly noted what's in the box.

All said, now that you can charge your new Apple Watch, I hope you enjoy it a LOT!

I have an iPhone 11, 9th gen iPad, and now an Apple Watch series 8 and no type C charger!!! It’s a cash grab that hurts the environment, I left the store, drove to Best Buy, bought a type C charger brick in full plastic packaging!!! Way to save the environment Apple!!!!

Guess you'll not own an Apple, Samsung or Google watch then. None come with a charging brick.

I think it's called cutting off one's nose to spite ones face. Apple stock won't be hurt. You don't get a great watch. Oh well, guess you showed them!

You need an iPhone to pair with your Apple watch and I presume you have an iPhone therefore you have a charging block already.

I am an Apple fan since they first came out with a cell phone in 2008. Apple wants to save them selves a couple bucks on a charger, I decided to save $560 (Canadian). 😂
