Apple Watch iOS 10 not allowing 3rd party charging accessories? Or just some 3rd party brands?

I upgraded to watch iOS 10 and immediately my watch now does not charge on my 3rd party charging pad. I think this is evil of Apple, to build software that recognizes when accessories are not built by Apple (this has happened on iPhone as well). Any suggestions on how to fix or to elevate to Apple to force a patch fix? Frustrated with them on this unscrupulous practice.

It’s been MONTHS, a supervisor at Apple Support acknowledged that this is a known issue, and they still haven’t addressed it, 4 months later. I don’t know about anyone else, but my next upgrade will be an Android product.
