Markup not saving on files

My annotations on my files does not save sometimes in my file app ipad. I saved my files in on my ipad, and sometimes it happens. Very upsetting if it contained alot of notes inside

Why is my iPad Pro markup glitching in the Files app? Hey everyone, I recently got an IPad Pro for school and when I use the markup option in files it will glitch out randomly and delete all my markups regardless of if the file is saved to the iPad itself or a cloud location. I’ve had to take double the time to do my homework and it’s incredibly frustrating. The biggest reason I got the iPad was to do homework and note take easier but it’s incredibly frustrating to keep having all my work deleted every few minutes. Unable to save to files anymore When I click on a documents or click on the box with arrow in notes were I am normally about to select were to save the options “ fikes” is normally their. The option is suddenly missing. My phone is running on IOS update 17.5.1. Could that be the issue but this has never happened I have a iPhone 15. i do have 2 updates available. lastly my icloud is still on and never turned off.
