Message Index Problems ASAP HELP

My phone has been stuck on the index messages, photos are coming but slowly and large gaps of photos are missing. How do i tell that it’s actually recovering with icloud when it stopped showing this (the picture i’ll put bellow)

I’m on IOS 16 this all started a couple hours ago. What do i do? How do I tells its recovering. Worried please help asap.

Messages and photos don’t finish indexing I recently just updated to ios 18.5 and now I can’t look up any messages or photos from my message threads from anything before 3 months ago. It says it will show results once messages finish indexing and I haven’t had this issue prior to updating. The messages still exist but I can no longer look them up using key words. I’ve tried going through the settings to icloud and turning the message back-up on and off like some forums suggested. I tried restarting my phone and still the same thing, I’m really bummed out as I have meaningful messages from people who are no longer in my life that I like to revisit when times are tough. Has anyone found a solution to this? 😕

It’s time to fix iMessage I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing the following things: photos saved in messages otherwise seen under the info section are often scrambled, out of place and some are missing! The only fix I found is to go to apps - messages - turn off show content in search then wait for messages to index. That solves the problem for a day or so. Then all the photos under any of my message threads are back to being scrambled or missing. Any one have a better fix? Some senders that are not labeled as muted automatically get labeled muted if you scroll up and down your messages. This is annoying! Any fix here? not all my message threads show up unless I switch off my phone and restart it again. My storage for messages on iCloud is 132 GB but it only shows 2.53 GB on my iPhone storage. Whys that? Im running iOS 18.0.1 on an iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Pictures in “see all” tab on iMessage missing Hello everyone, first off I know there’s a lot of old threads with this KNOWN issue (thanks Apple) anyways, with the constant updates and new phones. I feel it’s worth to see if anyone has any new workarounds. I updated my phone (14 pro max 512GB) to a 15 Pro max 512GB. I did a backup & restore on computer, and none of the links, pictures, etc are visible in the expanded section on my messages. Now, if I scroll up the photos are there, just not showing up on the expanded section or “see all”. Some contacts have a few old photos, but it doesn’t update. It’s been 3 days, and nothing. I’ve tried the ICloud method, backing up & restoring multiple times again, and still nothing. I’m stuck. Irritated. Anyone else having this issue?
