Why is the system settings window now so small and cramped?

I typically use this panel in a troubleshooting scenario. Now on top of whatever issues I'm correcting I have the additional aggravation of being stuck in what feels to me like a tiny screen. I would love to know what problems this design was attempting to fix.  I would also love the option to revert to a setting I'm familiar with. I do not see that option, am I missing something?

As you should know, no one here is an Apple employee, we are just users like yourself so we are not privy to why Apple does things. Ventura changed the System Preferences to System Settings along with a complete redesign of the interface. There is no option to return to the previous design. The only thing you as a user can do is submit feedback.
