Airport Express Base Station

I have an Express Base Station Model A1064, configured with Airport Utility on an old Mac running OS10.6. My iPhone recognized it OK and I could play Music through the Express base station mini-jack line out port to my sound system just fine. That is until I upgraded to iOS 16.2 - now not seen in Airplay. Anyone know a work around to be able to drive my sound system?

Not a big deal, but A1064 is not a valid model number for the AirPort Express, so you likely have a model A1264.

Let's see......things were working fine before you updated to iOS 16.2.....so the issue likely has more to do with the iOS update than it has to do with the AirPort Express, since nothing changed on the AirPort Express.

We assume that you have already powered off and restarted the AirPort Express, correct?

We also assume that you have powered off the iPhone and restarted, correct?

If you have not done this, now might be a good time to see if a simple restart of things will help.

If you have already restarted the AirPort Express and iPhone and that has not helped, you might want to try updating the iPhone to iOS 16.3......since the latest update claims to incorporate bug fixes from the previous iOS version. Remember to power and restart devices after the update.
