Does Time Machine back up data in applications

I'm using Bay Roes a book making application made by Bay photo.

When I click on the app it looks like it wants to restore the app itself and not the data I've created and lost.

Thanks

Time Machine backs up everything on your Mac except the operating system, unless you have specifically excluded files from being backed up.

If you are trying to restore the data that has been created by the Bay Roes application, you need to ask the support folks at Bay Roes where exactly the data is stored for the application. It might be in a Documents folder, or it might be stored in one of the Library folders for example.

Once you have the data storage location for the application, you can use the Finder in Time Machine to navigate to the location of the data and then Restore from there.

Yes, Time Machine backups typically include data stored in applications as well as other files on your Mac. This includes documents, photos, music, and other data stored in various applications and system folders. Time Machine backups are incremental, meaning they save only changes made to your files since the previous backup, making the process of backing up your data more efficient.
