Once it dried out it wouldn’t allow the charging cord to fit into the port to charge it

My phone showed a moisture message and once phone was dried out the charger would no longer fit into the charging port.

Visit an Apple Store or an Apple Authorized Reseller in your region for assistance to diagnose the problem.

And they could offer a possible solution.

You will first have to make an appointment due to the pandemic.
