How to find someone else’s lost phone

A friend lost their iPhone and I am trying to help them find it with the find my phone. How do you do that?

Just a note to point out that your friend would have had to have enabled the Find My option on the phone....before....it was lost in order for the phone to be located.

If the battery has run down or the phone does not have an Internet connection where it is located, it will not show up on the Find My location map.
